"You may delay, but time will not."

Something clicked in my head at the beginning of this week. Well, really, the Friday before. I've made several shoddy attempts to start a weight loss regimen over the last year only to find myself giving up after a few days. This week feels different. My mind set is different. I've successfully controlled my portions for the past 5 days, consumed the recommended 3 liters of water per day (based on my weight and activity level) and have exercised 4 days this week so far. I know it's only 5 days. And I quite literally have 59 years of the same progress to maintain ahead of me. But this time, I'm feeling determined. I'm battling cravings and winning. I'm looking towards the future and for the first time in perhaps 6 or 7 years, I'm visualizing the end result. I have a future I need to take quite seriously. The months are flying by so vigorously and I've had enough of being stagnant and lazy.

Eyes forward.

  1. You can do it! I am the exact same way. I get all determined and then get to a certain point and quit. As of this morning, I weigh 1 lb less than my lowest weight in over 10 years!! This time I plan to go all of the way instead of just saying "I'm OK with this weight" and staying.
My thing is, I realized I'm not getting any younger and it will only get harder, so it really is now or never. And I have to say, being told that I look like I'm in my 20s never gets old!
Much luck to you!! Keep up the good work! You can totally do it!
